Athletics has always surrounded my life. Whether it was playing sports back in high school to working as a marketing intern for Furman Athletics. To display my life plan through my e-portfolio, I created the theme to be sports related, with the color scheme of Furman colors currently to show how much Furman has already changed my life. Within many aspects of this website, I incorporated projects from the Digital Storytelling class, Sports Reporting, and the material I’ve created during my internship through the last two years. Material including my photography portfolio and Instagram story production.
Through creating this e-portfolio, I learned that it takes a very long time to create a whole website by yourself. Throughout the semester, I worked on my portfolio whenever I had free time to make sure I wasn’t behind and for it to look presentable to people viewing. I learned about how to add individual YouTube videos onto Wix, and I learned how to add animation onto all my text to add some life onto my website. Within editing, I learned how important it is to add everything you’ve worked on into the portfolio so future employers can see the projects you completed and the work you’re most proud of.
Throughout the process of making this portfolio, I will be using it to send to future employers and for any future internships I wish to apply for companies revolving athletics. I know towards the future, I need to incorporate a reel onto my website, and that’ll be a future goal of mine as an aspiring reporter or digital marketer.
